The Respiartory System

Picture
The Respiratory System is what keeps you breathing and what keeps body excercising and surviving. The Respiratory System consists of the Nasal Cavity, the Esophagus, the lungs and the Diaphtagm and much more. When you inhale, the diaphragm  and inter coastal musclels contract and expand the chest cavity. This expansion lowers the pressure in the chest cavity below the outside air pressure. Air then flows in through the airways  and inflates the lungs. When you exhale, the diaphragm and intercostal muscles relax and the chest cavity gets smaller. The decrease in volume of the cavity increases the pressure in the chest cavity above the outside air pressure. Air from the lungs then flows out of the airways to the outside air . The cycle then repeats with each breath. There are 2 main chemicals whick you breathe in and out daily which are Carbon Dioxide and Oxygen. When you breathe in your diaphragm contracts making your body breathe take in all the Oxygen which is good for you and when you breathe out your diaphragm expand forcing you to breathe out Carbon Dioxide and all the bad things inside your body and than repeats all day even when your asleep. Watch the video below to understand the Respiratory system.
